lyrics
Mystic sophistication
Offering the exhaling breath
See the light between the brow
Pale aura antemortem
Her foreboding vision
Lamentation of golden light
Present and future
Our brethren as prior forms
God's hand extends
Crown of horn, pure of heart
Void sphere envelops
Bridging realms, preserving life
Breathe one's last breath
Go way of all flesh
As the light fades
As the light fades
Archaic uncivilization
Violence on the borderlands
Supervention of the cosmos
Predestined eternal rest
Ruminate in the droning psalm of extinction
Shedding the immortal spirit
Bathed in champaign phosphorescent
Screaming the oath

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74

A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson

Strangely lo-fi with respect to other Kauan albums, and often at complete odds with its predecessor, Kaiho (which only comprised clean vocals). To appreciate Ice Fleet, I approach it like a release from another band – an unknown and mysterious one. Alice M.
